This Privacy Policy explains how FaceSwap (“we”) collects, uses, shares, stores, and deletes information when you use www.dofaceswap.com and the FaceSwap iOS app. The face-data section below is the section that describes face data.
Face data
What face data the app collects. FaceSwap collects the photographs and videos you choose that show a person’s face or likeness, and the text prompt or script you type for that generation. FaceSwap does not collect Face ID, facial geometry, a faceprint, or any other biometric identifier used to recognize or identify a person. The app does not scan your photo library. A photo or video is collected only after you select it and ask FaceSwap to generate.
How face data is collected and used. You pick a photo, video, or media link in the app or on the website, or you type a prompt, and then you start a generation. We use that face data only to create the face swap, talking-head video, picture-to-video clip, or other result you requested, and to show that result to you. We do not use face data to identify you, and we do not use it to train our own models.
Sharing face data with Replicate. AI processing is done through Replicate. Before a photo, video, or face image is sent from the app, FaceSwap asks you to accept that sharing. If you do not accept, those files stay on your device and are not uploaded. When you accept, the photos, videos, face images, and prompts for that generation are sent to Replicate, LLC, 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107 (replicate.com). Replicate runs the model and returns the result. We do not sell face data.
Replicate’s privacy policy is at https://replicate.com/privacy (last updated April 1, 2026). Replicate states that it acts as a processor or service provider for customer personal information, that it does not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by U.S. state privacy laws, and that it uses reasonable security measures designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access and disclosure. Replicate retains customer personal information for as long as needed to provide its service, where required by law, for abuse detection and prevention, to defend legal claims, and as residual copies in backup systems for a limited period. Questions about data Replicate holds can be sent to privacy@replicate.com.
Where face data is stored. On your device, face data stays in the photo or video you picked and, after a result is ready, in Creations until you delete it. On our servers, an uploaded photo or video is kept only long enough to create the result. Photos uploaded are deleted after creation. We do not keep a face database or a face profile.

Replicate retains files it receives under the retention terms in its privacy policy, quoted in the sharing section above.
Photos, videos, and prompts
When you accept and generate a result, the pictures, videos, scripts, and prompts you provide are sent to Replicate so the output can be created. Those files are processed for that generation and are not used by us to train our own models. Do not upload content you are not allowed to share.
Tracking for advertising
Tracking is used for advertising. We and our advertising and analytics partners may collect identifiers, device information, approximate location derived from IP address, pages viewed, app events (including generations created and paywall shown), and how you arrived at the Service. This data is used to show ads, measure ad performance, limit how often you see ads, and understand which campaigns bring people to FaceSwap. Partners may include Google Analytics / Google Ads tags, Apple App Store attribution, and similar tools.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We receive confirmation of an active subscription so we can unlock paid features. We do not receive your full payment card details.
How we use information

- To run and measure advertising
- To diagnose errors and prevent abuse
Sharing
After you accept, we share the photos, videos, face images, and prompts you submit with Replicate, LLC so it can generate the output. Replicate’s protections are described in the Face data section above and at https://replicate.com/privacy. We share advertising and analytics data with partners that help us run ads and measure them. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
Photos uploaded are deleted after creation. Results you keep in the app stay on your device until you delete them. Analytics records are kept to measure advertising and product use. Face-data retention is described in the Face data section above.

You can limit ad tracking in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security). You can also email support@dofaceswap.com to ask questions about this policy.
